Há dois dias, ao falar com a minha filha, um dos meninos, o mais novo, quis fazer-me uma pergunta. Queria saber se eu achava que ia haver guerra nuclear. Nunca lhes minto mas, num caso destes, receio alarmá-los. Creio que disse que não, que acho que não vamos por aí, mas que já não dizia nada pois achava o Putin perigoso.
Enquanto escrevo, tenho a televisão ligada. De vez em quando faço zapping. Não há uma única notícia tranquilizadora. Pelo contrário.
É incrível como a segurança da população (não apenas do país atacado mas de todo o mundo) pode estar dependente de um mitómano tresloucado.
Quando me foco em Putin dizem-me que não é apenas o Putin, é todo o seu regime. Mas tenho para mim que é Putin que polariza o ódio que está por detrás desta ofensiva que não é apenas contra a Ucrânia mas contra a humanidade. Ou seja, acredito que caindo Putin, se desconstruirá todo o actual regime autocrático russo.
Estamos a assistir, em directo, ao dizimar de um país. E, no fim, se cá estivermos, faremos o inventário do mais que foi dizimado.
